Join The Ume Group Playback Theatre Ensemble for their second public Playback Theatre performance, this time on the theme of: Identity.
About the Event
This event will be an audience interactive performance involving storytelling by the audience and improvisational enactments of your stories by our team of Actors and Musicians. For the best experience, please join in a quiet & well-lit space from a computer with working camera & microphone.
The event will last approximately 90 minutes.

About The Ume Group
The Ume Group is a US – based physical theatre / dance theatre ensemble dedicated to Learning, Teaching, Creating & Performing. Since 2011, they’ve been praised by critics for their “commanding, physically impressive performances” (The Village Voice) and “risky physical vulnerability” (nytheatre.com). From 2012 to 2018, while in residence at Grace & St. Paul’s Church in New York City, the Group’s creative activity also coincided with The Ume Group School, the company’s educational arm, which offered studio-style training in devising & physical theatre to professional actors and yoga and wellness classes for the local community.
With members now spread across the United States, Australia, and the UK, since May 2020, The Ume Group has been experimenting with online Playback Theatre.
